Farm Feast

Description: Come celebrate the end of the semester with a farm fresh meal! You deserve it! This event will be hosted by Fountain dining hall in the West Campus Amphitheater; weather permitting.

Farm Feast Menu:

Appetizer:
-Local Peanuts

Salads:
-Beet, arugula, and (Sleepy Goat Farm) goat cheese salad with seasoned pecans, topped with a raspberry balsamic vinaigrette.
-Farm fresh broccoli & red grape salad w/ cranberries, sunflower seeds and (Creekside Farms) hickory smoked bacon.

Entree:
-Farm raised brisket of beef braised in a Chatham Hill (Morrisville) Cabernet Franc wine, with local garden Brunoise vegetables.
-BBQ chicken sliders - baja chicken slider with jalapeno slaw.
-Local Pork

Sides:
-Grilled blue ridge marinated vegetables.
-Steamed magnolia farm carrots served with maple farm of NC maple syrup glaze.
-Cornbread with local whipped honey poppy butter.
-Chili and lime white sweet potato

Vegan/ Vegetarian:
-Sweet Potato Pilaf
-Local oat crusted tofu cutlets served over a (Piedmont Valley Truffle Farm, N.C.) mushroom & green tomato ragu w/ local seared onion and tomato chard.

Dessert:
-Strawberry shortcake station, fresh farmers market strawberries and Howling Cow whipped cream.
-Howling Cow Ice Cream- Campfire Delight
