Please read the Dining Contract.

Our dining programs are made up of two components: Meal Plans and Board Bucks. Together they form your personal dining plan.

Meal Plans

Meals-Per-Week

This is the number of meals you expect to eat per week out of the 19 served at University Dining's dining halls or quick-service eateries.

Your choices include 8, 10, 12, 14 meals per week.

Block Plan

This plan gives you 100 or 160 meals per semester, instead of a predetermined number of meals per week.

Sometimes you will use your meals at Fountain Dining Hall and take advantage of its all-you-can-eat feature. But other times, you will want to use them to get a la carte meals at our 12 quick-service eateries located throughout campus. That's where the equivalency program comes in handy. We'll explain that later.

Dining Hall Freedom Pass

This plan allows you to eat as often as you want. There is no limit on the number of meals per semester and multiple visits during the same meal period are allowed. This plan now includes one meal equivalency per meal period.

Board Bucks

Board Bucks are like dollars that you can spend at University Dining locations, anyway that you like, such as to:

Make up the difference when you exceed the equivalency rate at quick-service eateries

Purchase a second meal if you've already used your meal during a time slot

Purchase snacks and sundries from any of our five campus convenience stores

Treat a friend or family member to a meal when they are visiting you on campus, and

Purchase beverages from select campus vending machines.

Since Board Bucks are a part of your meal plan, you will enjoy a five percent discount at the register. Choose from $100, $200, or $300 per semester, depending on your anticipated needs.

Board Bucks are an optional component for the 14 meals-per-week, 160 Block Plan and the Dining Hall Freedom Plan.

You can add to your Board Bucks balance any time during the year:

In person: Make a cash, check, or money order deposit at our office in the West Dunn building.

By mail: Send a check or money order to University Dining, NCSU Campus Box 7307, Raleigh, NC 27695-7307. Be sure to include your student's name and ID number.

Online: Use your credit card to make a deposit via the ncsuallcampus.com web site. A $2.00 charge per transaction will apply.

Your new balance will be available immediately, regardless of your method of deposit.

Remember, unused Board Bucks roll forward from Fall to Spring, but must be used by the end of the spring semester.

Equivalency Rates

The equivalency program allows you to use your meal plan meals at the quick-service eateries by applying the value of the meal you would have eaten at a dining hall location toward your purchase.

The rates are as follows:
Breakfast: $4.25
Lunch/Brunch: $4.80
Dinner: $5.00

Meal Plan Choices Price
8 meals-per-week $770/semester
10 meals-per-week $875/semester
12 meals-per-week $945/semester
14 meals-per-week $1005/semester*
Block Plan: 100 meals/semester $625/semester

* Board Bucks are optional with these plans.
