As students develop symptoms due to influenza or other viruses, such as stomach virus, University Dining is working to support campus residents who are not well enough to visit a dining facility or are self-isolating away from others to avoid spreading illness.
University Dining will provide you a Get-Well Meal Kit stocked with non-perishable foods and drink that can be eaten at your convenience in the comfort of your room. If you are on a meal plan, the Get-Well Meal Kit is free of charge (as we expect that you will be missing meals). Students not on a meal plan may purchase the Get-Well Kit for $15.00 and will be billed.
The kit includes items recommended by Health Services to help you on the road to recovery: Six single-serve cups of Whitehouse apple sauce, saltine crackers, 1 individual container of Cheerios, 1 Campbell's heat-and-enjoy chicken noodle soups, 1 Healthy Choice country vegetable soup, 1 pack of Lance Toast Chee peanut butter crackers, 1 pack of Lance Toasty crackers, 1 20 oz Sprite, 2 20 oz. PowerAdes, fork, knife, and spoon.
The kit can be modified for students with special dietary needs. Just contact our dietitian, Lisa Eberhart at lisa_eberhart@ncsu.edu.
Here's the procedure: - Complete and submit the form below.
- Print the response page and give it to your RA, RD, or assistant director of your campus area for a signature.
- Give the form to a friend or roommate. They can then take it to the C-Store you requested to pick up your kit.
We hope you feel better soon. If you have any questions, please email us.
