Fresh Start Program Offers a Healthy Start

Campus dining hall features fresh, healthy options every Monday

October 10, 2011 (Raleigh, NC) — This fall, University Dining introduced the Fresh Start program in Clark Dining Hall. Every Monday at lunch, students, faculty and staff can jump start the week with a variety of fresh, healthy options.

University Dining chefs created the Fresh Start menu that features display cooking stations, grilled sandwiches, healthy pizzas, prepared salads, fresh fruits and vegetables. Each week Clark introduces a new menu of fresh options for patrons to enjoy.

Fresh Start will take place August – October 2011. Customers that take part in the program will be offered a frequent buyer card that can be entered into a drawing for a mountain bike and other prizes when the program ends. In addition to the frequent buyer card, students can also win prizes by answering trivia questions about healthy eating.

“Fresh Start is a great promotion to get students, faculty and staff on the right track on Monday so that they will be empowered to make healthy decisions throughout the week,” said Lisa Eberhart, registered dietitian for University Dining.
