November 30, 2010 (Raleigh, NC)— The semi-annual Night Owl event will be held at Fountain Dining Hall on December 7-9 from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., featuring a late-night meal and entertainment for students that need a break during exam period.
Each night, members of the Night Owl Facebook Event page will be randomly selected for giveaways including, NC State memorabilia, Coke prizes and Golden Tickets for the Atrium VIP preview party on January 9, 2011.
The schedule of events includes:
Tuesday, December 7: Live Music+Art
University Housing, Campus Police and Inter-Residence Council host the opening night of Night Owl featuring guitarist Kenny Shore, spin art painting with State Farm Insurance, board games, and cookie decorating.
Menu: Scrambled eggs, biscuits, bacon, sausage patties, hash browns, sausage gravy, deli bar, yogurt, fruit and salad bar.
Wednesday, December 8: Trivia
Dr. John Ambrose from the NC State Division of Undergraduate Academic Programs along with First-Year College host trivia night led by Wise Entertainment Group. Trivia games will begin at 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. with individuals and teams competing for $100 in AllCampus credit.
Menu: Taco bar, wrap station, gyro station, yogurt, fruit and salad bar.
Thursday, December 9: Open Mic Night with Acappology and WKNC 88.1
Join Acappology and WKNC as they host an Open Mic night to conclude Night Owl. A panel of five judges will select the three best performances of the night. First place will receive $100 AllCampus, second will receive $75 and third will receive $50.
Menu: Mashed potato bar, Philly steak bar, s’mores, hot chocolate, yogurt, fruit and salad bar.
Students can use a meal plan meal, $7.50 walk-in rate and $7.00 Board Bucks or AllCampus.
