Raleigh, N.C., April 26, 2010—The semi-annual Night Owl event will be held at Fountain Dining Hall on May 4-6 from 9pm-11pm, featuring a late-night meal and fun activities for students needing an break from exam studies. The schedule of events includes:
Tuesday, May 4: Breakfast, Board Games, and Karaoke
Enjoy karaoke with Steven Penny, of Southeastern Entertainment, who is one of the “hottest weekly Karaoke shows in the Triangle.” He features songs from the 1940’s to present day. Come and enjoy board games too. University Housing and Campus Police will be hosting the event.
Menu: Biscuit bar with eggs, bacon, sausage, gravy and sliced cheese; French toast sticks, grits, crispy cubes, yogurt, fruit, Danishes, doughnuts, and cookies.
Wednesday, May 5: Cinco de Mayo and Latin Insect Café
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo and get a taste of Latin-inspired insect creations. Dr. John Ambrose, First-Year College and DUAP will be hosting the event.
Menu: Nachos with cheese sauce, jalapeno poppers, cheese quesadilla, corn Mexicana, fruit, yogurt, fudge nut bars, and lemon luscious layered cake.
Thursday, May 6: Guitarist Kenny Shore and Carnival Games
Play fun games, eat popcorn and cotton candy, and rock out to guitarist/humorist Kenny Shore, who has performed regionally over the past 20 years. Wolfbytes and WolfTV will be hosting the event.
Menu: Corn dogs, hot dogs, mini burgers, chicken tenders, veggie tenders, onion rings, corn cobbetts, fruit, yogurt, cupcakes, rice crispy treats, and cookies.
A separate meal-plan period has been established for Night Owl, so students can use a meal-plan meal, Board Bucks, AllCampus, credit cards or cash.
